If someone can successfully explain to me why I'd want it, I'd be delighted to receive one -- at this point, though, the best answer is "they are not our Russian overlords" -- that's a great reason to *leave* lj, doesn't give me enough information to make a decision about *migrating to* (or mirroring from) another server...
Some things that factored into setting up an account there, by me:
1. the just-in-case factor, so I'd have my preferred username
2. the backup factor, assuming I get around to mirroring everything (I've posted Way Too Much, I suspect), since I've never backed it up in any other form
3. at least one person I know who posts there but not here
4. the ability to mirror posts automagically in DW and LJ (public and private; likely not filtered unless the same people are in both places)
5. the ability to have a list of journals I read that is separate from the list of journals I give reading access to, without dealing with filters (not that I've used it, but I like how that's set up, and none of it uses the word "friend," which is good)
Heya! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Yep, that's me. IH was my second choice so I figured I'd grab my first choice while it was open. I may grab the other one later.
