Week in review

+ holiday party chez Majes et al
+ seeing lots of people there I haven't seen in ages
+ skritches, etc
+ birthday party for a niece entering whole number age
– unfinished chat
– nervous about starting work
+ started work
– car commuting
+ ... though it means I can stop at Russo's
+ train commuting (mostly on time even after the snow started)
+ nice coworkers
+ interesting work to do
+ many work freebies
+ got to see an old friend who's currently based in Atlanta (with hopes he gets the tenure he's up for)
– not enough exercise
– not enough contract work
– not enough housework done
+ stop at the recycle center
+ Shabbat dinner invitations (two! very exciting, though I still find myself limited by that lack of duplicator machine thing)
– not enough sleep
+ walk in a snow storm
+ ... to a very pleasant Shabbat dinner
+ an unexpected cheese board
