Thank you.

And I owe you email; I've been not so good about keeping up.

Surely Obama deserves more than one plus?

Yes.

But I decided last week that I wasn't going to try to rate relative plusfulness (or minusness), which would end up giving myself strictures I'd then feel I had to stick to (Is this better than that? By how much? How much is perceived v. 'objective' good? Etc. Better just to post already).

And I already did a happy election day post :-).

Well, yes, your father being sick probably deserves more than one minus, too.
May he have compassionate, competent doctors and a quick diagnosis.

Thank you. Right now, he's had whatever-it-is for months, so a diagnosis would be excellent.

Your dad is in my thoughts. Do you want a misheberach said for him at Kadimah on Shabbat?

And it was wonderful to see you last Sunday.

My first reaction was "it's not that bad!"... but really, it doesn't have to be horrible for a mi sheberach. His name is Yitzchak Eliyahu ben Yetta. And thank you.

'Twas good indeed to see you, especially for such an excellent reason :-).
