[Israel ride] briefly here again
May. 25th, 2008 05:15 pmAfter Shabbat in Mitzpeh Ramon, today we biked 60 miles through the desert to Kibbutz Ketura, where the Arava Institute is. It's hot, very hot, and that was the hardest part for me, other than being extremely saddle sore. We left going down through the machtesh (we were told it is not a crater), and there were a couple of very serious descents, which were fun and a little scary. I had a flat at one point, which the mechanic fixed. I put on sunblock about five times, and I probably could've used another application. Oh, and today was the first day I was extremely hungry when we got to lunch, in Shittim.
And there's more, but at this point it would continue to be very jumbled, and someone's waiting for the computer. Laterz.

I wonder if anyone I know is still living there.
