• Latkes chez Drs. H and E, both regular and Indian-inspired (with home-made mango chutney to boot!), plus many other impressive culinary offerings. (Not to mention the excellent company :-)
  
• Candles ever increasing the light.
  
• Latkes at home, both sweet and white potato varieties, and enough people to make a dent in the winter vegetable inundation.
  
• A thoughtful gift, the solution of how to display a glass slide.
  
• The Grinch who stole latkes
  
• A brand new red-headed niece!

I've never seen a newborn with so much hair before! At least an inch long, and very thick (and she was a few weeks early, too; I have to wonder how long it would've been had she been 'on time'...).
