I should've done it last night, but didn't get around to picking the last of the tomatoes (of all colors) and bringing in the plants I'll try to overwinter until this morning. Now to rearrange the kitchen to fit the plants (rosemary, two lavenders, ginger) in it.

Of note: Trader Joe's will have whole kosher turkey for Thanksgiving again this year, starting November 9. $2/lb though. Otoh, fresh, so no defrosting.

I love this chilly weather. It's invigorating moving through air that's thinner than summer air, not weighing me down. I can feel muscles and bones moving in concert as I walk, in the good kind of functional body sort of way.

[BRC] A couple of photos of the Big Round Cubatron, by day, not so interesting, but by night... wow. The images don't really give any idea of how entrancing it is to watch the patterns. Also, the Mondo Spider I saw stomping around.

There's a little pencil icon in the block of other icons. Click on it to edit. But be quick, before someone replies to you and sets your comment in stone :-)

Hm. OK. I just went looking, and it looks like it's a paid account feature only. Phooey.

I do appreciate it, but as the comments are only editable prior to being replied to (which I agree makes sense) it's not really all that different from the ability to make a comment, delete it, and then post a corrected comment.

Perhaps a bit easier.

Ha! I just discovered the Mondo Spider last night, during a string of hops from various bicycling sites to other cycling sites, to a whole page of unusual human powered vehicles, like rowing bicycles (bikes you move by using your arms in a rowing motion).

Rowing bicycles! That sounds fascinating. Also exhausting...

The Mondo Spider was incredibly cool, but not any faster than walking, at least for the while I kept pace with it, though perhaps it could have gone faster had there not been so many people entranced by it :-). Also, much with the stomping, which would drive me nuts after a while with the noisiness.
