Low Key Peep Flambe Camp
Sep. 3rd, 2007 10:55 pm"Peep! Peeeeeep! Would you like a Peep?
"We've got five kinds of Peep: classic yellow, pink Peeps o' love, green for the Green Man, purple so you can be a purple Peep eater, and the blue water Peeps, always elusive in the desert.
"Would you like to have your Peep on a stick? We brought sticks for toasting Peeps, right here. Just find a burn barrel nearby, and they cook up pretty quickly. Or come back Wednesday evening when we'll be making Peep s'mores.
"Oh, and we have a Peep menagerie. It's right here, in this box.
"First, here's a Peep in its natural habitat, on Easter grass. We have a wind-up Peep. These two here are rare Peep sarcophagi; you can hear the dried out Peep inside.
"Don't look in the eyes of these black demonic Peeps, or they might enslave you. And then there's the dangerous one. We have him in this box; he had started fighting with the others. He's dangerous. Keep your hands back... It's the porcu-Peep!"
Short form: I went to Burning Man and camped with some wonderful people. More later.

Date: 2007-09-04 04:33 pm (UTC)It seems Americans love 'em or hate 'em (and Canadians, Dutch, Israelis, and Ozzies have yet to be initiated into the ways of the Peep); I hadn't realized how much it's a cultural icon. (I haven't had one; they're not kosher.)
