i live in a tv-free place, and seem not to be around anywhere that has the olympics on when i'm there. but this morning i found out what the winter olympics will mean for me: more dave barry articles!
Though technically not tv-free, my space in my place is pretty much tv-show-watching free, and my tv has not, in fact, been turned on since this year's olympics started. I'm not even sure how I found out that the olympics had started!
I seem to have also created a dave barry-free environment for myself.
So, what the olympics mean to me is that when figure skating was happening on the tv at the bar I was in the other night I got a "What Would Brian Boitano Do" earworm.
dave barry articles consistently make me laugh out loud, so i definitely tend to check the miami herald on fridays for whatever new things he's written. i don't know why he's so much funnier to me than other people (some people crack up over david sedaris' stuff, which i find mildly entertaining).
