Boston Organics
Mar. 21st, 2007 09:58 pmLarge box, one-third fruit, including an extra lettuce to make up for last week's AWOL one.
Also, it's the vernal equinox, and there are signs of spring: snowdrops and crocuses already blooming on my walk home, birds chattering happily. I don't know whether it's the increasing light, but I'm finally starting to get things done around the house (slowly, slowly*, but maybe I'll manage to keep on at a slow pace rather than burning out).
*... the egg will walk on two feet.
- a bag of spinach (grown in VT)
- a bag of sugar snap peas (reminder to self: take green beans and peas off the delivery before next week)
- two heads of romaine
- a bunch of broccoli
- two smallish zucchini
- a pint of grape tomatoes
- two artichokes
- two large, red-skinned potatoes
- five large-ish yellow onions
- two Valencia oranges
- four plums
- two Honey tangerines
- an Ataulfo mango
