I can see the weather shifting this week as the river changes, the solid ice of Monday's chill giving way to areas of dark water near the bridge supports, areas that have increased as the week continued. It's a study in contrasts, the light flat ice and constantly-moving dark water, angled lines mazing the ice ending in curves of unceasing ripples.
Also, yesterday was a turkey day; it was rooting about in the grass of the Volpe Center's yard again. This time there were pigeons, until the turkey ran at them, rather like a toddler, and they flew off. Oh, and I realized what bothered me about the long black hair-like tuft that comes out of its breast (so obviously not like normal feathers): it made me think of long dark-haired scalps (in the "injun" sense). Ick. And yet, still very cool to see again.
