Dinner for one:
  • challah
  • grape juice
  • kale and turnip greens with delicata squash and cubes of beef, plus hot sauce and onion
  • fruit


Lunch for five:
  • challah
  • grape juice
  • tandoori chicken thighs (pareve soy yogurt* with fresh turmeric and powdered cayenne, ginger, garlic, cumin, and mustard, plus a squeeze of lime)(I can't believe I'm out of fresh onions and garlic, as well as ginger. Oy.)
  • green salad with sauteed onions, green garlic, and peaches, plus halved grape tomatoes and cucumber, possibly almonds, and a balsamic vinaigrette
  • mashed neeps
  • jasmine rice
  • mincemeat and walnut pie
  • kiwi, orange, and grapefruit salad
  • chai bread

The salad will be assembled at the last minute; everything else is started, if not finished.


* Strangely, a number of soy yogurts are certified kosher dairy. Not so useful.


eta Blast! I seem to have pulled something. It has the quality of a back-thing, though it's off to one side, near my right hip. Here's hoping a good night's sleep will make it all better, or I'll have to cancel my long walk plans for Sunday.

I hadn't realized how low I was on onions, plus I think I was hoping for onions from Boston Organics (else I could've picked up a bag while I was at Harvest getting the farm share.

Mini-magnets are enough. The Asian greens! The mushrooms! The baby artichokes!

In the back, there are a couple of imported baked goods there that are kosher, plus the cool room for flowers....
