Mormon chapels tend to be very simple, and very plain. The crucifix is, I think, a specifically Catholic symbol, though I think also Episcopalians use it. Most Protestant faiths have crosses but not crucifixes. Mormon is a whole different story. I cannot remember if the Mormon chapels I've been in had crosses in them, but I seem to think they didn't. The person to ask is my friend mortuus. Would you like me to ask her?
That would be excellent, if you would. I'm kinda curious about this, so if it's not "high church" (ie crucifixes and such around), I'm thinking I'll go for part of it, but if there are obvious avoda zara issues, then it's easy enough to duck out of.
OK, and the thought of asking for a kosher meal at a Mormon chapel rather tickles me.
