It was delivered, and it fit! Yay! It was a tight fit around the bend in the hallway, but it went, and I didn't even have to take the bathroom door off, though it did need to be open so the door handles wouldn't be a problem.
*squee*
I have a kosher for Passover fridge! It's pretty and white! The shelves and the produce bins are see-through! The door is designed to hold non-condimental food!
I put the Passover food in, and while the freezer is fullish, the bits and pieces of food in the fridge look rather lonely (except for a little cheese convention on the door). (The manual suggests one shouldn't put food in until it's been running for 12-18 hours. Yeah, right, like I have an interim fridge for that.) I still have to figure out how I'm going to deal with the lights (tape over the switches or unscrew the bulbs), but I have time for that.
Many thanks to all who offered advice and calmed me down last week.
On the topic of Passover food: I checked the OU website about hard liquor, and all it said was that it needed to be certified for Passover, without listing any that were. Does anyone know if there's booze for Pesach? (I realized I have a new carton of canning jars, and it would be cool to make boozy dried fruit for next year.)
There were dust dinosaur colonies underneath, which are now gone, and one of my marbles, which isn't. The new fridge rolls out, so it oughtn't get so bad again. Yay!
Oh, and not only were the delivery people more than prompt (a few minutes early for a three-hour window) and efficient, I got a call reminding me to check for cosmetic damage, if any. Yale Electric has been excellent to work with.

Date: 2006-04-10 05:41 pm (UTC)It won't be KfP anymore next year, will it?

Date: 2006-04-10 05:49 pm (UTC)No, next year I'll have to clean it and line the shelves, but it'll be a lot easier to clean flat glass shelves and drawers than the slightly ridged plastic shelves from the old one.

Date: 2006-04-10 05:52 pm (UTC)The back stairway would've been worse for me, since the front stairs are straight-bits-plus-landings, while the back is a narrow twisty staircase. I'm glad they were able to get yours in another way.
I didn't even realize that it rolled until they brought it in. And the back doesn't have that dust-catching grid of grille. And it doesn't stick out into the hallway more than the bottom moulding in the hallway. And it's just pretty :-)

Date: 2006-04-10 06:59 pm (UTC)We have arak... it tastes like anise on steroids.

Date: 2006-04-10 07:23 pm (UTC)Hrm. I don't much care for anise or licorish flavors, so hopefully there are other things available locally.

Date: 2006-04-17 08:59 pm (UTC)Most of the cheese is still at the convention, too :-)
