New England Book Show
Mar. 16th, 2006 01:32 pmYesterday I stopped by to look at pretty books, more of a quick browse and lots of "ooh, shiny" than anything in depth. The most memorable book was Robert Sabuda's dinosaur pop-up book. I've never seen such intricate pop-ups. The friend with me said that he'd always known growing up what he wanted to do (I envy that, even now), so he's had lots of time to work on such complexities.
I saw other books, by my former and current employers (some I'd worked on, even), and by other houses I'm familiar with.
___
From today's news: airlines may charge more for the seats with more leg room in cattle class. Which is to say, Northwest is trying it, and either the others will follow, or they'll likely drop it.
For comparison purposes, there's a guide to the best seats, by airline and type of plane.
