Boston Organics delivery
Dec. 21st, 2005 05:34 pmLarge box, one third fruit (theoretically, anyway; it always seems like more than that). I intend to switch so every other box is all vegetables, since that's what I've been needing more.
The newsletter mentions red grapefruit and Meyer lemons, which I would've loved (more than thetangerines tangelos). Ah, well. Plus, they need to deliver more alliums of any kind.
*Luckily not naval oranges, since I don't have proper accoutrements for sea-going citrus. (And what about the naval oranges turned rogue? They'd be ARRR-anges, though I don't know how they'd wear an eyepatch, wield a cutlass, or have a parrot that didn't eat it for lunch.)
- a big bunch of spinach
- two bunches of red-stemmed chard
- three stalks of broccoli
- a bag of oyster mushrooms (a third of a pound? a half?)
- half a palm of ginger
- six potatoes
- two beets
- four bananas
- three Anjou pears
- four Pink Lady apples
- three navel* oranges
- three
