Paranoia Agent is really, really weird. Deeply strange, in fact. I've been told other anime is more coherent, at least.

other good things: international email, hugs, chili with cheese, interesting photos, exploratory walks, Cities & Knights in real time

See, I don't think Paranoia Agent is not coherent. I think it's quite coherent in fact. A kind of psychological montage or something--which I guess could look incoherent, especially if you're not looking at it that way.

Looking at it as a montage, rather than a full story arc, it makes more sense. A lot of the little pieces worked together into bigger pieces, but somehow I was expecting more from an overall plot view.

I view it as a coherent whole of a very incoherent reality. I like it, very much; but I would not consider it a good introduction to anime. I know any number of series I could recommend as early intro to anime (Last Exile comes to mind, as does Dual and Read or Die and [for the younger set] Pokemon.

I still haven't watched the last few episodes yes... they are still sitting on my DVR...

I wish I had them here in florida, it would give me something to do.
