Monday short takes
Apr. 4th, 2005 08:55 pmBackground sound to a phone call:
Three-year-old singing
"Sticks and clay will fall apart, fall apart, fall apart,
Sticks and clay will fall apart, my fair lady."
repeatedly.
____
I'm going to be learning Mishnayot Parah in the next couple of weeks. It's the masechet dealing with the parah adumah (red heifer). First time through this masechet for me; it ought to be interesting.
____
This weekend I finished my first crocheting project with beads, a black scalloped choker with 'pearls'. I think it looks decent, but I should practice more with things strung onto the thread.
____
I made it to Paper and Provisions today (one of the thwarted errands Thursday), and remembered to check last year's post-Pesach notes, though I really thought I'd also listed all the Peseach stuff somewhere, too (I should do that this year; it's useful). Anyway, I now have pastel plasticware for Pesach (milchigs; fleishigs are jewel tones). I still need to get a nice vegetable peeler, and plastic to cover the table and counters, but I'm not sure about anything else (er, beyond all the food, that is).
____
And while in Watertown, I stopped at Russo's again (I think there's a magnet under their floor or something). Today is a green day: the majority of the stuff in my cart was green. To wit: mustard greens, turnip greens, micro bok choi, yu choi, mesclun, Brussels sprouts, and arugula. (I already have broccoli.)
