Coming home after 10 last night, I saw a skunk on the corner near my house. It headed on up the side street, lolloping through the snow. I wonder why it was out so late, in a storm. And now that I know what skunk tracks look like (in snow, anyway), I wonder what about my house was so fascinating that it kept walking up and down and around that bit of sidewalk...

candy
I went to the new kosher candy store, Sweet Satisfaction, last night. The little shop has a lot of chocolate (milchig, pareve, and sugar-free options), in many forms, plus some other types of candy (gummi fish and Scotty dogs, little Sweetart-looking Legos, jelly beans, hard candy). Not sure how much I'll shop there; I don't really need more sweets around. But it's nice to know it's there.

ETA: photos
Many thanks to Queue, who lent me his camera: I was able to take pictures for the last photography class. The assignment was portraits, and I managed to take some I like. Yay!

The owner of Sweet Satisfaction, Emily Stein, does a great job with the store.

On tuesday night when leaving the JP church from English Country Dancing (http://www.lcfd.org/bgfe) I saw a skunk who was about to cross the street and then scurried into the backyard of the house on the other side. There was a slight odor.
