weather
MIT has pink ice melt, while Cambridge high school has turquoise blue. Conclusion: Clifford, the Big Red Dog is at MIT, and Blue's Clues is at Cambridge high school.

Sunday, the second day of warm, definitely-above-freezing weather, I saw people cross-country skiing, on the Charles. It made me a bit nervous to see; how could they be sure of the ice? They were close to Watertown, where it still looked solid, but by parts of Cambridge, it was already melted in a couple of places...

whistle pig day
Happy Groundhog Day. I still don't understand why we can't figure out if the sun is shining without a groundhog (and why sunshine --> more winter weather, either. Of course, living in New England, I'd be surprised if all we have is six more weeks of winter.).

"A slope, a perpendicular line, and a coordinate plane cram into a cab.
'Hey,' says the coordinate plane, 'I have no space.'"
