minuses
- The lulavim not being available after work today, despite the email. Not sure when I'll be able to pick it up tomorrow.
- Getting to the bakery in Watertown after it closed.
- Dealing with stupid people driving (really, it's ok to go more than 15 mph in a 25 mph zone). Made worse by the rain.
- A button coming off my suede vest within an hour of first putting it on (anyone know a tailor who works with suede?).
- Rain dissuading me from going to the farmer's market today.
- The rain continuing into tonight, keeping me from putting up the light and the sunshade in the sukkah.
- Baggers who heavily plonk carefully-chosen produce into bags.
- Starting cooking rather later than I should.
- Stress dreams from all there is to do for the holidays. I wish I could do more than just the physical prep, but I've never figured out how, with just me to do everything. Just getting all the other stuff done is a challenge.

One would think people in Boston would know how to drive in the rain, I mean this isn't Southern California or anything. One would, however, be very very wrong.

One would also think people in Boston would know how to drive in the snow. Still wrong. Sigh.

(Now, if it were hailing or something, that I could understand. And even being a bit more cautious, leaving more reaction space between cars in the rain. But being too timid to drive in this weather and going out anyway.... Sigh.)

It's less the timid (much preferable to reckless "I have an SUV and am therefore invulnerable" driving) than the stupid ("What? I'm driving? Wait")

Last night, it was the timid who were annoying me. Like the one going 15 mph in a 25 mph zone (no passing). Or the one who stopped because s/he didn't know how to merge. Or the one who didn't turn on the left-turn arrow for some reason.

Though usually, yeah, it's the jerks in huge vehicles (that are impossible to see around*) who are the worst.

* I tend to think of the picture from The Pushcart War, with Wenda Gambling driving her tiny car behind a huge truck.
