"You can deprive the body, but the soul needs chocolate."

Today's (Dagoba, organic, "New Moon") was only 74% cocoa content; Tuesday's (Chocolove, Extra Strong Dark) was 77%, and just the tiniest bit gritty, giving the idea that there were cocoa bean bits in it. Mmmm... extra dark chocolate, nothing to distract from the essence.

Ooh, now they've revised the update journal screen again, and it fits onscreen much better. Huzzah for not having to scroll horizontally! The options for downloading clients and such are gone (I suspect anyone updating online doesn't need those options just then). The thing I'd most want (a way to have a "current" box to name (current scent, or whatever else I thought relevant) and fill in content for) still isn't there, but perhaps I can start hoping again...)

I just checked, and the update journal was the same as it was this morning. I reloaded the page, and then it looked better, like you describe. I reloaded again, and it was back to the craptastic horizontal scrolling thing. And now I can't seem to get the good one.

Gah. I hope it gets settled soon. With the better one, of course.

Okay, this is fucked up. When I load it, it gives me the nice one. As soon as I try to resize the window, it switches back to the crappy one.

Weird. I just tried it, and that's what happened to me, too. Bleargh.

They have hard-coded the page width to 760 pixels. While that's now under 800, I don't consider it acceptable. The browser is one of many applications I have open at a given time; nothing gets all the real-estate. Especailly if I'm cutting and pasting from an editor into the browser because composing in the browser is a bad idea.

Obviously, I didn't look closely, now that it suited my needs enough. I don't see that this new interface gives anything more than supposed prettiness. Ugh.

Oh, and happy birthday! I hope you have a wonderful year, with learning and happiness and growth, plus lots of laughter :-).

You can now see your chosen userpic before posting, which I guess you wouldn't have noticed since you don't have any. But I never had any trouble remembering which picture went with which keyword in the drop-down list -- I mean, I chose those keywords, so I should know what they mean, right? other than that, it seems to just be someone's idea of beautification.

Thanks!

Yeah, I'd think you'd know which keyword went with which photo, too, though if someone has 50 userpics, it might be a bit harder.

I notice that in Dystopia, there's no longer the "..." option after Update Journal; I wonder if someone thought it cleaner to have just one screen with everything. Though I don't understand why they'd not just use what they had for "..."... (I just couldn't resist that!).

Mmm, good chocolate. I have discovered that I only like high quality chocolate, dark, bitter. I have also discovered that it breaks me out liek an adolescent. Arghhhhhhhhhhh. Happy New Year!

Dark intense chocolate is the best. It totally sucks that it makes you break out. :-(
I wonder if there's any food combination with it that would mitigate the effects....

(and thanks :-)

Some of it's definitely browser-related; Safari works as you describe, but Netscape (at home) still is the way-too-large-must-scroll situation all the time. I hope they fix it soon.
