magidJust a bit frazzled, and needed to get things out of the whirlpool of my head, see where I am.
OK, so that's two more things to do tonight, the turkey in the morning, and three things to cook after work tomorrow. Not including salads, of course.
Also, need to do a load of laundry. Start it in the morning.
I feel I've been slacking, with too many breaks at the computer. OTOH, I've been shopping at the Butcherie, the farmer's market, and Market Basket today, in addition to the cooking.
And I voted. At 6:30, I was number 169, which is pretty dismal. I was the only voter in the hospital lobby the entire time I was there; the four poll workers seemed fairly bored. Of course, on the Democratic ticket, there were only four races, one of which was contested (a three-way race for sherriff).
- wine: check
- challah: dough to be formed into rounds, left in oven for long second rise and time bake to wake me up in the morning
- apples and honey: check
- hummus: check
- turkey: in fridge, waiting to be stuffed and cooked tomorrow during the day on time bake
- stuffing: wild rice boiling, onions and mushrooms sauteeing, so almost done
- chicken: need to put in marinade tonight, for baking after getting home tomorrow
- chickpea-spinach-tomato-preserved lemon stuff: do in pareve soup pot after getting home tomorrow
- green salad: to be assembled just before eating
- tomato salad: likely to be assembled after the holiday starts
- roasted carrots: check
- roasted eggplant: check minus (for snacking on some)
- other sauteed veggies, depending on what's in the farm share: do in cast iron skillet after getting home tomorrow
- apple pie: check
- chocolate cake: check
