It's the Sunday before the apple and honey holiday, so I'm thinking of going apple picking. I could go to Brookfield, which is a fair drive from here, but feels like my 'home orchard', since that's where we went when I was growing up. Or I could check out somewhere new. The state has a list of apple orchards with pick-your-own fruit, and listing other attractions of each (hay rides, vegetable stands, hedge mazes...). I have no idea which one to choose, though I've seen the name Kimball Fruit Farm at many farmer's markets, so might go there.
(I have a back-up plan: the farmer's market at Copley on Tuesday. Note to Teddywolf: I got a wonderful honeycrisp apple there last week. If you go Tuesday and buy them all before I get any, though, you're in big trouble :-).
