My mother asked if I needed a jester hat¹. ('Need', in my life, anyway, is so very rarely followed by 'jester hat'....)

Anyway, it turns out that she won a custom-made jester hat in a silent auction at shul. Which turns out to be made by Marfta. Mom sent a link to a photo, saying that the model might be Marfta herself, and I was able to say it was not her but someone else [the daughter of Roozle and SunSpiral].

Cue the music, please.


¹ I already have a perfectly good jester hat, as it turns out, so I couldn't, in good conscience, say I needed a second one. Though it would be pure luxury to have two.
