On Google's home page they have a link to "Froogle." It took me ages to figure out why they'd named it that, since my first instinct was to link it to "Fraggle," as in "Fraggle Rock", rather than "frugal." Which says to me that I'm an extremely visual reader, not aural. Figuring out sounds like that takes too much time, and is too distracting from the content of what I'm reading, which is part of the reason I think it's so hard for me to read poetry, which so often relies on word sounds (if only just for meter). And why certain kinds of word play are easy, while others are much more difficult. Interesting. I wonder if it also relates to why I find it hard to read plays.
