Monday notes
Jun. 1st, 2004 10:20 amI cased the Butcherie while waiting for my take-out Chinese to be ready. Big excitement: there's a new line of cheeses! Sugar River Cheese seems to have a nice line of flavored cheddars and jacks. I didn't get any just then, but I suspect later this week I'll end up buying some. The tricky part: which to try (OK, I know I won't be trying the cilantro one. But other than that, they all sound so good!).
Hooray for almost enough Boggle-ness! The tournament was a lot of fun, though I wished I'd found more interesting words (ferret sticks in my mind as the best one I found. Sad.). I also wished that I'd had more time to practice. Anyone interested in a Boggle hour some evening? The addiction returns...
The other nice part about the tournament was the chance to see people I haven't seen in a while, and hang out on a lawn in the sun, and enjoy the day. Also eating chocolate rugelach from Zabar's, finding out about the card-holding properties of not-short grass, and the enjoyment in watching (some version of) wrestling.
And as usual, role-playing lead to unexpected adventures.
All in all, a nice end to a low-key vacation. Which is not to say I wouldn't like more vacation :-)
