Three pizza night
Apr. 22nd, 2004 07:39 pmThe dough was the same for all of them, with onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper in it.
Pizza 1
dough
a brush of olive oil to seal the dough
leftover mango-pineapple salsa
mozzarella
onion
scallion
tomato slices
garlic
Scoville Scoundrel, a mango hot sauce I happened to see at Trader Joe's
Pizza 2
dough
brush of olive oil
hot red pepper and eggplant sauce
mozzarella
onion
garlic
scallion
broccoli
black olives
roasted eggplant and red peppers
Pizza 3
dough
brush of olive oil
onion
scallion
black olives
feta
red and yellow tomato slices
The first pizza was wholly experimental, and the only difficulty was that there was too much liquid from the salsa (I put too much on). The middle pizza was a nice improv using-things-up sort of pizza. The last pizza needed something, perhaps spinach, or some basil. Still, it was pretty good. There was some dough left, and some vegetables already cut up, so a vegetable flat bread is in the oven.
