News flash: heat!
Feb. 19th, 2004 06:10 pmI came home tonight, and there's heat!
Oh frabjous day! Calloo, callay!
Much joyous chortling.
In fact, it felt too warm (the decadence of it!), so I turned the thermostat below the 65 it had been set to.
Final count: three calls to the contractor, one conversation with same, denying any furnace interferance. One call to Honeywell. Two helpful calls from friends. Many helpful LJ comments. One week without heat in the middle of the winter.
Nothing has changed from yesterday, as far as I can see, except for MissDimple's hex, I suppose :-).
It's wonderful to be able to think about doing anything in my apartment other than huddle under the blankets.
