Weekend by the numbers
Dec. 8th, 2003 12:28 am0 miles driven
0.4 of the car excavated (the last street cleaning of the year is Tuesday, so I have to have it out by then!)
1 game of Cities and Knights
1 hour shoveling
2 parties
2 feet of snow (involving an almost unimaginable number of snowflakes)
2 sore quadriceps
3 loaves of spiced pecan bread
5 trays of vegan spice cookies
7 mini jars of mango-cranberry jam
9 miles walked
Hm. On balance, an odd weekend.

Date: 2003-12-08 08:41 am (UTC)Now that I've excavated my car (I took a day off, which turned out to be the right decision: even after yesterday's efforts, it took another hour to get it free), I'll be going in to work tomorrow, anyway. (OK, a moment of pride: The car was unrecognizable, was plowed in and had two feet of snow on it. I've uncovered the whole care, and I got the space cleared down to bare street, pretty much, for more than the entire length of my car. No way is it going to be there when I get home tomorrow, though.)
The streets really do need another cleaning, if the snow is out of the way sometime: there are still lots of leaves clogging the sewer entrances, which makes for bad stuff for the rest of the winter.
