Hm. On balance, an odd weekend.

They really are going to insist on doing street cleaning on Tuesday? They won't have the streets plowed by then...how are they going to clean them?

I have no idea if they're going to manage to do street cleaning tomorrow (OK, it's unlikely, I admit), but I don't want to find out the hard way (even if they're just ticketing and not cleaning, the worst of all possible worlds. Though they could take the opportunity to plow one side of the street clear rather than having all those walls of snow around each space). Around here, the streets are plowed; it's just getting the cars out while figuring out where to put the snow that had been on the car.

Now that I've excavated my car (I took a day off, which turned out to be the right decision: even after yesterday's efforts, it took another hour to get it free), I'll be going in to work tomorrow, anyway. (OK, a moment of pride: The car was unrecognizable, was plowed in and had two feet of snow on it. I've uncovered the whole care, and I got the space cleared down to bare street, pretty much, for more than the entire length of my car. No way is it going to be there when I get home tomorrow, though.)

The streets really do need another cleaning, if the snow is out of the way sometime: there are still lots of leaves clogging the sewer entrances, which makes for bad stuff for the rest of the winter.
