Unfortunately, my hot water urn seems to have burned out; does anyone know if they can be fixed, or do I need to get a new one?

I think they, like many other small appliances these days, fall into the "cheaper to replace than to repair" category.

Hm. I didn't think of it as a 'small appliance', since mine cost $80-90 (when I bought it 7-8 years ago), but it looks like there are cheaper options out there, too.

I suspect a stop at Kitchens, Etc. or Tag's is in my future...

Still, a grrr to the people who didn't tell me they'd taken the last hot water for tea; had I refilled it then, I think I'd still have a functioning urn...
