Sunday highlights
Aug. 25th, 2003 01:59 pmIt was a beautiful day yesterday, with just perfect weather, cool, breezy, and sunny, reminding me of autumn coming. It felt good just to be out enjoying the change; I was glad it was a Sunday instead of a week day.
The furniture sale had an overly-flexible pricing structure.
I watched an artist work on a mural already-in-progess on a side of the Harvest Coop in Central Square. I like what I've seen, with a general structure that has bilateral symmetry, but the details are different. I'm looking forward to seeing it finished.
I was surprised with a gift of alphabet cookies. Thank you!
Three yard sales in one day! It's easier for me to do that in company; somehow I tend to feel awkward browsing without buying when I'm alone. I didn't spend much, either.
Visited Pooh's other house in Cambridge.
I hadn't browsed through Nomad in ages.
Watered a friend's garden.
I was gifted again, this time with friend-picked blueberries. Yum. They're delicious. And I may have enough left over to do something other than just eat straight with, too. Current thought: blueberry-cranberry jam. Thanks to many pickers.
Porch dinner, earlier than usual, so the light was very different. No lanterns needed.
Othello with friends, and running into others there. Hey, it wasn't as bad as that production of Chess earlier this year... though perhaps it's the runner-up.
An unexpected houseguest.
On the down side, I didn't get to watch the parade or go to the street fair or go to the farm. I don't think there were enough hours in the day to have managed all that, though. Such a hard life, having to choose from all sorts of good things to do...
