magidIt's midterm election day, and I'm totally ready to never hear a political ad again. Well, for the next couple of months, anyway.
I made it to my polling place a little over half an hour ago, and while there wasn't a line, the place was full: all the polling booths were occupied, and there was a steady flow of people keeping it that way. I don't think I've seen that before during the work day, except in the Obama-lines two years ago. I was the 478th person to vote there as of 11:15, which I suppose isn't out of line with previous numbers*; I guess I live in a politically active area...
* In 2008, I was 615th at 10:30 am (presidential election).
In 2006, I was 70th at 7:30 am (midterm election).
In 2004, I was 286th at 8:20 am (presidential election).
