On my friends page, and on some pages when I look at comments. It's weird, with them appearing at the top of the page, or at the bottom right of some people's posts, so the link to read comments is moved over to the left, and occasionally other places, too.

I don't see anything weird. Could be a result of your browser not liking recent changes, or something.

There was a time when I was regularly seeing some userpics show up instead of the little lock on some entries--and they'd be entries of other people--not the person whose userpic it was. May even have seen this show up as mood icon, but not recently.

Today the only thing I've noticed was that in one of my older recent entries the "LJ user" icon showed up four times instead of just once in front of someone's user name.

Just looked again. A bunch of the "LJ user=" icons show up in front of "hrafn" on one entry, and are missing from other entries (including the one where I saw four before). Bizarre.

Sounds not dissimilar to what I've been seeing, just more restrained... I was looking at a page where the back arrow button had turned into an lj user icon.

Hrm, is this just a warning that Big Brother is watching?
OK, more likely what Queue suggested, that my machine doesn't like the changes in LJ.

I'm seeing it consistently sprinkled through one of lj user=pinkfish's posts (<--, I left off the <>'s there intentionally.)

see the post, if you care to. and in case it matters, this shows up when I'm using Phoenix 0.5 and also in IE 5.0.

Interesting. I definitely saw lots of extra icons in that post, too, but I've had them in other, stranger, places too (instead of a back arrow at the top of a calendar page, right before the comments, a row of them standing above a user name in the sidebar identifying whose post it is, a couple of them at random above all the posts on my friends page....).

I'm using Navigator both at home and at work, and neither of them are the latest versions, though I don't think they're the same version, either.
