Yesterday the weather report was sure we were getting an inch of snow today. I am due to go to a sales presentation this afternoon, so had to wear more professional clothes than I usually do in the office, including nice shoes. One inch of snow shouldn't be a problem, right?

And of course, having gotten into the car for the morning commute, I hear that it's now 3 to 5 inches. Glerg. Here I am in actual heels (no socks/nylons/whatever, either), and I'm likely going to have to clear off the car at some point. Ick.

And of course, wearing a suit is just uncomfortable in and of itself. Why didn't I think to bring a spare skirt (or shoes) with me? So I sit in my constraining jacket, the skirt too tight at my waist (making me wonder if today will be the day to pop a button; not a good thing on a wraparound skirt.), and wish I'd planned the day a bit better...

I still haven't managed to make one of those cool lines go here. I think the code is dl, but when I try that, nothing happens. Feh.
Thanks to Prog and Queue.

To day's entertaining spam had a subject line (not a direction line :-), and nothing in the body of the message:
Science vs Esoteric : Turn back time on your body's biological clock up to twenty years with just six months of use!

Well, shoot, use of what? Slinkies? Potato skins? Caffeine? Sacks of dirt?
In what way? Ingesting? Topical application? Inhaled? Bathing in? Exercising with?
Inquiring minds want to know!

Thanks. Knowing what words it's short for helps me remember it.

Last Thursday, when the weather people cleverly underestimated the snowfall, I had the misfortune to be wearing regular shoes and not boots. Today, with the memory of cold wet feet fresh in my mind, the weather forecast (and its chances of being accurate) before me, I have again worn regular shoes. I dare you to snow many inches of snow! Ha!

Just checked wunderground.com, which has us getting up to 3 inches of snow, tapering off this evening. Hopefully where you're walking will have been shoveled/already trampled.

I had an interview yesterday. Aside from the fact, it didn't go particularly well, it snowed my drive there and back to Boston and I had to park in a garage for twenty bucks because I couldn't find parking and was afraid that I would slip in my heels in the snow.

Damn snow.

Sounds like a less-than-ideal day all around. Feh.

I hope today goes a hell of a lot better.
