Not dressed for the weather
Mar. 13th, 2003 01:21 pmYesterday the weather report was sure we were getting an inch of snow today. I am due to go to a sales presentation this afternoon, so had to wear more professional clothes than I usually do in the office, including nice shoes. One inch of snow shouldn't be a problem, right?
And of course, having gotten into the car for the morning commute, I hear that it's now 3 to 5 inches. Glerg. Here I am in actual heels (no socks/nylons/whatever, either), and I'm likely going to have to clear off the car at some point. Ick.
And of course, wearing a suit is just uncomfortable in and of itself. Why didn't I think to bring a spare skirt (or shoes) with me? So I sit in my constraining jacket, the skirt too tight at my waist (making me wonder if today will be the day to pop a button; not a good thing on a wraparound skirt.), and wish I'd planned the day a bit better...
I still haven't managed to make one of those cool lines go here. I think the code is dl, but when I try that, nothing happens. Feh.
Thanks to Prog and Queue.
To day's entertaining spam had a subject line (not a direction line :-), and nothing in the body of the message:
Well, shoot, use of what? Slinkies? Potato skins? Caffeine? Sacks of dirt?
In what way? Ingesting? Topical application? Inhaled? Bathing in? Exercising with?
Inquiring minds want to know!
