One year later

magidA year ago yesterday, I broke my left index finger. As Prog put it, it's my "one-digit anniversary." A longish description of the accident is in this post, with a lot of description in later posts about the recuperation process. I still have a bunch of physical therapy paraphernalia hanging around the house.
So, at the one year mark, I think I've mostly got my finger back. Not completely; there are still times that I notice myself avoiding using it quite as I used to, not relying as much on its strength, not cracking the knuckle any more. Still, I'm grateful that this much has returned to me. And I am more grateful than I can say for all the friends who helped me through a traumatic time.
