Unlike everywhere else, my office didn't close today. No snow day for me. Feh. So, shoveled the front stairs and walk yet again (third time). There was much more snow than the previous times, so it was pretty heavy stuff. Luckily toward the end a neighbor up the street saw that I'd done a fair bit, and did the end with his snowblower.

Then to excavate the carsicle. That took longer, actually, since I had to schlep the snow across the street. I shoveled on three sides, since I couldn't get to the driver's side by the curb. I had to climb in from the passenger side (over the stick shift), drive out, then clear off the rest of the car.

Once I got through the local streets, the highways were clear, and there was little traffic. There were some idiots clearing their cars on local streets, though: it's one thing to let some snow from your car area get into the plowed street. It's another thing altogether to shovel two-foot-high drifts into the street to get your car out, making a hazard course for drivers. Jerks.
