Red sky year
Jan. 6th, 2003 12:10 pmAccording to this Globe article, Mars is going to be closer to Earth than it has been in years.
Also, there's going to be a lunar eclipse starting just after 10 p.m. EDT, Thursday May 15."Totality will last 53 minutes, from 11:14 p.m. until 12:06 a.m. EDT..." Perhaps I shall go watch the heavens that night. Oh, and maybe this will give me impetus to figure out how to try to photograph night skies. (Hey, ZZBottom, would you know anything about this?)
(There's a second one this year, Saturday November 8th. I suspect it will be rather colder for standing around for an hour or more at night then.)
