Pre-Shabbat rush

Bread is in the oven; pea soup is heading towards the critical meltdown stage, after which I add the other stuff; pesto barley salad done; cran sauce done. Still to do: salad prep, cake frosting, spazz that I won't have enough food for whoever it is who ends up here (likely to be fewer than 20, but who knows. Also still don't have more AJMs.), straighten up and arrange seating, lighting.

Car stuff: talked with the other woman in the accident, who was glad to hear from me, had been concerned I'd been hurt. Got the info about one witness, promised to give her info on the other once I got it, which I did on the way home. Now to write up the report. Still haven't heard from the insurance company.

Does an AJM need to be an AJM, or can he be an AJM-in-process?

If by "in-process" you mean pre-actual-conversion, he doesn't help towards a minyan. Helps in social ways, though (well, depending on the person, of course....).

I don't think he's officially completed the conversion process yet, alas. But someday, maybe, he'll count.
