Day of the Dead
Nov. 4th, 2002 11:59 amCthulhia's party Friday night was a lot of fun. More LJ (and non-LJ) friends than I could shake a stick at, as it were. I enjoyed lounging on the clouds again; they seem to foster interesting conversation. Or perhaps I am just lucky enough to have interesting friends?
The other decorations were fun, the flags (?) strung across the ceilings, the usual interesting-colored-light-pattern thing on the front porch.
Swirls of conversation, the ebb and flow of chat. Games sprouting up, Euchre in the dim light of the front porch. (Don't feel like a listing of talk with who about what sort of paragraph; suffice to say I was glad to see people and talk with them....)
I was pleased to see people eating my first attempt at Dead Bread (luckily not attempted in rainbow colors...), and got to compare notes about another recipe. Definitely a festive sort of bread, with all the butter and eggs. I was pleased to find that the orange zest and orange flower water balanced the anise in a way that made it taste good to me, rather than just licorice.
