Boring evening
Oct. 2nd, 2002 09:08 amMy own fault; I decided not to go to the Diesel, or to gaming, so I could have a night at home to be productive. Except that I wasn't, not as much as I wanted to be.
What I did manage to do: wash the meat dishes; wash the pareve dishes; put away the meat dishes; put away the dairy dishes. Fold and put away two loads of laundry. Straighten the living room. Cook orzo to mix with the leftover tomato-eggplant-olive stuff and some chickpeas. Clear off most of the kitchen table.
And, unfortunately, spend far too much time playing hearts on the computer. I have to take it off; my wrist is starting to hurt. What I hope I've learned, now that I've had to take off all 4 games that came with the computer, is that I have a bit of a compulsive nature when it comes to games, which comes out when there are single-player (non-adventure) computer games around (in the past, it also happened with solitaire (the kind using real cards, requiring shuffling and everything), too). As a time sink, it's horrible (at least reading LJ I'm reading different things), and my wrists will thank me for not doing whatever-this-does-to-them any more. Feh.
