Farm share, week 14 (also weeks 12 and 13)
Sep. 4th, 2013 06:06 pm- three yellow onions
- eight carrots in a variety of colors
- four green bell peppers
- four long thin red hot peppers
- a head of Napa cabbage
- a bunch of green curly kale or collards (I chose collards)
- five ears of corn
- a third of a pound of mesclun mix
- two heads of lettuce (I chose a Boston-like green and a not-quite-romaine-like red)
- two pounds of heirloom tomatoes
- three pounds of "slicing" tomatoes (read: plain red tomatoes)
- a bunch of edamame*
* traded in for another head of Napa, just because I don't have time to deal with fresh edamame this week
And since I ran into Currentlee at the distribution, and he was full up, he gave me the melon part of his fruit share, so I'll have watermelon for yom tov and watermelon pickles later. Plus I brought some picked-this-afternoon damson plums for the site coordinator, and she gave me some Sungold cherry tomatoes (nom!).
