It was nice enough out last night that I decided to walk to Charles/MGH and hop the red line, which meant that I passed Gurari Collections (91 Charles St.), which is currently hosting a show of Wendy Artin pieces (warning: some images NSFW), many of them watercolor, but the larger ones drawings, a medium I'd not seen her choose before. They're gorgeous; the images on the website don't really do them justice. Which is to say, for Boston locals, it's worth stopping by to see them in person. There's some architectural watercolors of Rome, too, but it's the intense figure drawings that are the focal point (not just that they're her more recent interest, but the pictures are physically large as well).
