and a tired one at that )

Nine jewels (navrattan korma) sounds like it might be an easy starting point for exploring cooking Indian food. Plus the nines are nice.

For JP locals: Red Fire Farm (where I got my farm share last year) is starting a distribution at the Co-op in JP, Wednesdays, 4-7. If anyone would like more information, I have spare brochures.

Score!

Co-worker went to Hawai'i.

I now get to eat honey-roasted macadamias.

Yum.

Large box, all veggies.

  • four large stalks of broccoli*
  • two bunches of spinach
  • five medium yellow onions
  • eleven smallish beets
  • two medium zucchinis
  • five medium large Yukon Gold potatoes
  • a bag (a third of a pound?) of sugar snap peas

And on a wholly unrelated topic, has anyone reading this used ING bank? I'm debating using the $25 check they sent (it's a pretty good incentive), but if they're a pain to deal with (in any way), I won't bother.

* It's the beginning of a mystery, really. Who's stalking broccoli and why? Does broccoli know? How will broccoli protect itself? Perhaps a self-defense class is in order?
