What an excellent thunder storm last night! I saw a flash or two well before the thunder, and wondered whether we'd get a storm at all. We did, in spades. Lightning and thunder at almost the same time, bright flashes that repeated before the thunder for a previous strike had finished. Lightning incredibly bright through the French doors and the skylight, even through the side window with the view of the neighboring triple-decker a few feet away. Thunder so loud I felt it in my chest. Just wonderful. (Well, except for anything that got hit. I worried about it for a minute, until I remembered that I'm in a two-story building with taller buildings and trees all around.)
Best sign: alarmed gate
Sounds like a case for therapy, since it seems a constant condition.
Best moment from helping at a move: climbing over the balcony railing to throw boxes down, which included a propane stove.
(I wish I didn't feel so old at moves, carrying smaller things, fewer things at a time, concerned about my back and knee. Phooey.)
