This morning's impulse buy: a jar of honey-marzipan spread. I can imagine it on toast, or forming a dessert, or right out of the jar... I'm not sure when it'll feel safe to open it.

Slow start using the Boston Organics delivery. Currently, I'm sauteeing the baby bok choy with some of the onions and a small package of maitake (hen of the woods, amazingly found at Trader Joe's), and roasting one of the bunches of collards with a lot of garlic, under a turkey thigh. And once I get some sugar, I may try a marmalade recipe for the citrus (possibly with ginger). The rest, well, I'm still unsure. It's nice to have a bunch of produce around, anyway.

I heard a totally unsubstantiated rumor today, that someone in Brookline wants to open a kosher steakhouse. That would be incredibly cool.

Decided: I'm not getting a farm share this year. I'll stick with Boston Organics, supplemented by farmer's markets. The biggest reasons: last year's lackluster non-varieties of vegetables, delivery v. pickup, and the ability to avoid things I don't care for. I'd like to continue supporting their social agenda, though.
