Sunday, tzom Gedalia

It's a minor fast day today (until 7:11 pm. Which is to say, 40 minutes and counting.)). Usually I end up rather grumpy by the end, but I'm starting to wonder if that's because I'm usually at work, doing thinking sorts of things, which are harder, since I'm not grumpy now. Tired, yes, due to being stupid last night, staying up far too late online. But not grumpy. In fact, I'm pleased: I managed a very productive day so far. I

• got two loads of laundry done
  
• did a Brookline run for groceries
  
• got a new calendar
  
• unloaded the boxes of stuff from my old job that have been sitting in my car (finally!)
  
• moved two carloads of boxes (etc.) from Cambridge to Somerville
  
• returned library books
  
• paid for my lulav and etrog
  
• bought some imported food, and a couple of other things
  
• delivered chicken soup to a sick friend

The weather was perfect for being outside, which helped my mood as well, I'm sure. I'd be happy with this weather for a long while.

It would've been nice to get a couple of pieces written that have been on my list for a while, but I suspect they'll turn out better written on an eating day.

The one downside: I managed to delete all browser bookmarks on my home machine. No, I didn't have a copy somewhere else. Sigh.

Note to self: clear porch before putting schach up.
