(Donations always appreciated, though.)

Common wealth Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing is playing on Boston Common. Originally I'd planned to go to the Thursday July 29 show, but the DNC has managed to get that canceled (though not the rest of the week; why did it have to be that day?). So now I'm thinking Wednesday the 28th will work instead. Is anyone interested in joining me? I'm hoping to have enough people to do a bit of a potluck dinner, since it's necessary to show up early to get a good space anyway.

The Red Feather Company is producing two Shakespeare plays this summer, in the lovely amphitheater in Worcester's Green Hill Park. It looks like the only night that will work for me to see Twelfth Night is Thursday, July 29, at 6 pm. I'm going to drive, so (as long as I get all the boxes out of my car by then) there's room for three people if anyone would like a ride. Of course, other cars would also be welcome. I haven't arranged this with my parents, but they're likely to come as well.
The other production is Two Gentlemen of Verona. I could go on any of three Thursdays, August 5, 12, or 19. If you're interested, let me know your preference.

Chelsea's Theatre Zone is doing a production of Federico Garcia Lorca's La Casa de Bernarda Alba, in Mary O'Malley Park, Chelsea. English performances are July 22, 23, 25, and 31. Spanish performances are July 21, 24, 30, and August 1.

The Industrial Theatre is producing The Merry Wives of Windsor at the Columbia Cultural Center, in Taunton.

And there's Waterfire in Providence, too (note to local Shabbat observers: it goes late enough (1 am) that one can leave Boston metro after Shabbat and still have lots of time to enjoy the event).
