Bits of brain junk, going cheap

Lower case p's grow up quickly — just twenty days after birth, they're sprouting up from the line; at two months, they're off their bellies and standing for hours at a time; by one year, all but a few are fully upright, capital P's. As they age, however, many suffer chronic lower back pain, what with the way they're leaning forward all the time. Now, as the decade's steady increase in chiropractic claims rises unabated, recent studies indicate the trend can be traced directly to the growing popularity of stump-footed, sans-serif fonts.

If we used the Babylonian numbers (base 60), would people have huge parties to celebrate finally getting out of single digits? How can you have a midlife crisis when you're still under 10?
I t's odd that I can get kosher venison sausage (or was it buffalo?), but nothing like the variety of interesting flavors available in non-kosher versions. Why am I still obsessed with sausage?
I'm debating taking the three days before Thanksgiving off. I'm not sure if I'd be able to use them well. Other alternatives for maximum time off in a row include the three days before Xmas, or the three between Xmas and New Year's. Are there any daytime events that would be interesting coming up?
I suspect I'm likely to end up with a cold or something in the next month or two, too...
