Salad plotters
Jun. 21st, 2002 09:20 am(No, I'm not graphing salad!)
I went to the Brookline farmer's market yesterday. It's mostly green leafy things available, plus some artisanal breads, cheeses, meats.
A couple of the places were selling plants, including one place that had 6-pack flats of lettuces. When I'd last been plant deciding, the lack of interesting varieties of lettuce kept me from buying. But here was red leaf and green leaf lettuce, and even mixed greens - mesclun mix on the hoof, as it were. Still, I have no need for 6 of each of these, esp not in my office, though it would be nice to have some salad I could just pick and eat for lunch with a little vinegar.
So this morning I talked with a cow orker, and he's willing to take some plants if I get them next week. If anyone else is interested in a lettuce or two, let me know before next Thursday...
