A feature to request?
Apr. 17th, 2025 01:35 pmThere's one feature of FB that I really wish DW would have: the ability to look at all the posts I've ever made on $Date (edit for clarity: where date = month + day, ignoring the year, so all June 5ths, or October 2s, over all the years that have a post for that date, all on one page rather than navigating through the archive /edit).
Does anyone know whether this is a thing DW already offers that I just don't know about?
Does anyone know where I could make this suggestion if it doesn't already exist?

Date: 2025-04-17 06:24 pm (UTC)here you go
Date: 2025-04-17 06:24 pm (UTC)this will give you a calendar. each day that you posted is marked with a number for the number of posts. click on a particular date's number to see a list of post titles.
Re: here you go
Date: 2025-04-17 06:26 pm (UTC)I want to see not what posts I made on June 17, 2025; I want to see what posts I made on all June 17s since I started blogging.

Or you can edit the URL to change the year and it'll show you all entries you made.

Date: 2025-04-17 07:17 pm (UTC)I already know how to see entries for any given Month+Day+Year, and how to navigate in either direction. That is not what I want.
What I want is a single page view that has all posts that were posted in my journal on any April 12 of any year.

Date: 2025-04-18 02:59 am (UTC)I'm not aware of a way to do that with DW. It seems like something that someone who knows front-end coding (maybe a little JavaScript?) could do, maybe as a userscript so you don't have to wait for DW to implement it, but alas, I do not personally have the skills to do that.
I wonder how hard it would be to write a userscript that plugs into the archive page, so that alongside 2025 and 2024 and 2023 etc, you could have an "all years" link, and then the calendar behind that, and when you click on June 5 there you'd get all of them.
